Wisteria Room
This large room at the front of the house has a king-size bed and en-suite bathroom. It opens on to a sunny balcony with views across the front lawn through the trees to the river.
In spring the perfume from the wisteria permeates the air - perfect for that touch of romance. Whether you are weary travellers wanting some ‘time out’, newly-weds wanting a special place or just in need of a comfortable bed and some peace and quiet, this is the room for you. The room is equipped with complimentary tea/coffee, toiletries, hair dryer, radio/alarm clock, touch lamps and electric blanket.
There are always fresh flowers and, as an added touch, the Wisteria Room has a small carafe of port - a perfect way to end your day.

The Grace Suite
Named in honour of the original family at Arles, the Grace Suite has two adjoining bedrooms with a double bed, two single beds and a beautiful antique cane cot.
The suite is equipped with complimentary tea/coffee, bath robes, hair dryer, radio/alarm clocks, electric blankets, reading lamps and fresh flowers. The bathroom is just down the hall. It is one of the original very large bathrooms with clawfoot bath tub and hand-held shower.
The cot can be removed if not required.

Elms
If you have trouble sleeping whilst away from home then Elms is perfect. Being at the back of the house it is very quiet and the curtains block out all light. Elms has a queen-size bed, en-suite bathroom and is decorated in soft peach and green tones. Curl up with a book on the cute little window seat that catches the afternoon sun.
The room is equipped with complimentary tea/coffee, toiletries, hair dryer, radio/alarm clock, touch lamps, electric blanket and fresh flowers.

Treetops (minimum of 2 nights)
Treetops is a gem! One guest described it as a ‘tree hut’ as you really do feel nestled in the giant elm trees with the friendly fantails flitting about.
This is a modern apartment built in 1997 and has two bedrooms with queen and twin beds, fully-equipped kitchen, dining/living room with a double sofa bed, bathroom and separate toilet.
Treetops has complimentary tea/coffee, toiletries, fresh flowers, electric blankets, electric heater, radio/alarm clocks, TV and mini stereo/CD player. All linen and towels are provided. A portacot is available. Guests are welcome to use the library and internet in the house.
Treetops is self-catering but continental breakfast provisions are available for a small charge.

Lounge
The beautiful beamed and panelled lounge looks out onto the verandah and was originally used as the drawing room. Dances were held in the 1940s with a band playing on the tarpaulin-surrounded verandah and the drawing room windows removed.
We offer our guests wine or sherry, TV/Video/DVD, and a piano. You are welcome to dance if you wish.

Dining Room
This room was the children’s play room or nursery. It is next to the lounge and separated by a brick wall so the children’s noise would not disturb ‘the master’.
The dining room looks out through the conservatory to the gardens and is the perfect place to enjoy a leisurely breakfast.

Library
Every old house has its library/study and Arles is no different. In scraping off layers of paint Sue found the Grace family growth chart on one of the bookcase ends which dates back to at least 1922. Guests are welcome to browse the shelves or check emails on the guest computer. Wireless internet is also available.

Reception
This room once housed a gun collection. A powder room is available off the reception room for guests' convenience whilst downstairs.

Guest Kitchen
Originally the Crockery Room, this was remodelled into a full kitchen which, in conjunction with 2 rooms and a bathroom upstairs made a ‘flat’ for the mother of previous owners in the 1970s.
